OFFICE COVID PROTOCOL UPDATE
Last week Gov. DeWine announced that Ohio will remove its COVID-19 health orders effective on June 2, 2021. This is in response to recent recommendations from the CDC. It is still recommended that people wear masks when they are in a healthcare setting and that will continue to be our policy. We also ask that you continue to maintain distance as much as the tight quarters of our office will allow. There will be no recording of temperatures nor asking of COVID related health history questions going forward.
We are hopeful that this is the beginning of the end of the pandemic!
To the wonderful patients of our office:
As I approach my 38th year of practicing dentistry, I have decided to retire. This decision will become effective around August 15, 2021. My departure is bittersweet, as I will miss so many aspects of my circumstance: especially my relationship with my office team, and of course, with all of you.
Carrying on the long-standing tradition of this dental practice will be Dr. Lauren Dull, D.D.S., a 2017 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry who also happens to be the niece of Dr. Alan Laub. Dr. Dull is in her fourth and final year serving as a dentist in the United States Air Force and is currently stationed in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Four years of clinical experience in the Air Force is invaluable in positioning her to seamlessly transition into the private dental family practice setting. I am thrilled that she has chosen to join us, as she will no doubt elevate and enhance what is already established. I'm very excited for you all to meet her and know you will be most pleased.
I do not think words can adequately describe the gratitude I have to our unbelievable office staff. As many of you have heard me say, our staff is what has “made this whole thing go” over these many years. All of the positives of our office—the upbeat and relaxed atmosphere, caring and professional attitudes, the dependable and personal touch—are all from them. I’ve been one lucky dentist. And it’s great news that they will remain in place to ensure a smooth transition with Dr. Dull.
Additionally, I offer my heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Alan going forward. In our nearly 37 years as partners, there has never been one cross word between us and we’ve trusted each other implicitly. Our partnership has been a true blessing to me.
Finally, I thank you for the privilege of allowing me to serve as your dentist. I am forever grateful to you for giving me this great honor. Our goal has always been to treat you all as we would want to be treated, and hopefully, we have accomplished that.
Okay, I think that’s about it. I look forward to seeing everyone over the next six months and wish you all great dental health in the years ahead— I think you know what you need to do!
Dr. Pat Michel
